Peroxide: Night Riders with African Dope & Creative Cape Town

A shadowy flight into a decade that no longer exists, a loose group of not so young loners on a crusade to champion the cause of the synthful, the depraved and the emotionally fragile. In a world of men who operate with too much mascara…this is Peroxide Night Riders.

Set your shoes to turbo boost, and relaunch back onto a dancefloor that fuses the best in 1980’s synthpop with todays digital daredevils. From Blondie to Blackstro…be, Thompson Twins to Tesla Boy, Duran Duran to Diogenes Club, its totally Hoff the charts.

In collaboration with Creative Cape Town, Peroxide is joined by African Dope and Mahala.co.za for the first half of the evening to celebrate the end of Creative Week Cape Town and the Loerie Awards. Fiction opens early at 8pm and music until 12 will be supplied by 7ft Soundsystem, Mix n Blend and Fletcher, thereafter Peroxide djs Bruno Morphet and Rob White take over the decks.

DIRTY TOILET SEX MUSIC Featuring Johnny D (OSLO RECORDSGERMANY)

Music creates atmosphere, creates energy, creates an adrenaline rush. It creates chemistry, spontaneity and a sexual tension so thick you can part it with your fingertips. Music is the space to indulge fantasy, freedom, wicked mind games, a feisty fetish and a kink just slightly to the left. Music lets you misbehave guilt free because it just makes you feel so damn good all over. Music is whatever you want to feel, who you want to be, what you want to do.

What do you want to do tonight?

Music is where hot bodies and sticky tongues meet synergy, it assaults the senses, sets the hips on fire and pushes you to the edge. It makes you want to have dirty toilet sex with every person in the room. Bring the sex back onto the dancefloor; spend the night biting lips that don’t below to you, dance until you can’t stand, go home with a stranger and indulge the morning after walk of shame. Soak up the post-orgasmic glow that comes from a night of gyrating to incredible music- and never forget how it all began.

Dirty Deep House and Techno to leave you breathless…

JOHNNY D (OSLO RECORDS/ GERMANY)

Johnny D has become one of the most visible stars of the deep house resurgence. As the son of Eritrean refugees, Johannes Debese a.k.a. Johnny D. became acquainted with a wide array of music styles from an early age when his family relocated to Mannheim in Germany. He quickly developed into a versatile artist active in the Mannheim Collective; meeting Ray Okpara by the good grace of their mutual hip-hop interest in 1999. The two formed Rajo-Music together with Nick Curly and started throwing infamous House parties at Loft Club in Ludwigshafen.

Johnny D’s style developed under the influence of minimal electronic music, prompting him to try his hand at producing, and so joining his friends as pioneer of the Mannheim Sound, a fresh minimal house sound making huge noise on dancefloors around the world. His musical versatility makes it difficult to define his style, but one can safely locate his music and vinyl selection somewhere between deep-house, minimal, and techno. Johnny D loves to go LIVE and his South African tour will see him play live sets in 4 cities over 7 days.
