Dj double you> Best Kept Secret was started in London about 4 years ago and we brought it to SA with some very ambitious goals and dreams in mind, which are slowly (and by that i mean at a glacial pace) coming into light.
BKS started as a booking agency and tour management company working with producers and artists, who have become the almost forgotten legends (Roy Ayers, Candi Staton - look out for her on the new Groove Armada album, Gwen McCrae and others) as well as new up and coming guys that no one really knew about (this is a long list and all have gone on to become household names in Europe and America....for the full EU/US list www.bestkeptsecret.uk.com for the int. artists avaliable to us in SA www.bestkeptsecret.co.za)
In SA we do events mostly but are working towards having a stable of our own. This we can sync with the UK side of life and by doing so, and making use of the strong media connections and influential ears that BKS has, expose SA talent to the world.
Basically we are trying to bring the underground above ground and it's a tough job in SA but we soldier on....hope that answers your q.
