Its that time again DEEP HOUSE people…!

This time around, for our 4th party in a series of parties we’ve hosted since late 2006,
we bring you a South African icon in the Deep House Music scene, who needs no introduction.
No amount of words will do him justice, so we won’t even bother trying.

Come experience 1st hand, why DJ Vinni Da Vinci (House Afrika Records / DJ’s @ Work), has commanded national and international respect within the deep house community, for well over a decade.

Along with that, Cape Town’s / Solun’s usual turntable suspects, Odwa & Koni (Solun), will also grace the decks, with their fine DEEP HOUSE selections…

It would be great if Ivory Room were to take up the mantle of credible deep house venue. would give the low grade stuff some competition.

b> Well, its really a bigger issue than just Ivory Room if you think about it. Can you name one venue in Cape Town that is a credible deep house venue..? Aside from parties that happen once a month... So by credible, I assume you mean you can walk into that club's doors on ANY night of the month, and find what satisfies you to be true deep house muisc...? *grin* Keen to hear from anyone else...

Odwa: I mean a club that concentrates the quality events in one place, be they monthly or weekly. Ivory still has to pay the bills, so I guess a few bump n grind parties would have to be thrown every now and again, but if people could go there and hear the house provided by lineups like yours or Regan's as opposed to the lowest common denominator meth house they play further down the road it would be a decent foundation to start with.

b> point well made. We've figured that Leightin & Erefaan have done a sterling job @ keeping the flame burning with "Soul Revolution". We've been playing our quiet little roles as well trying to do exactly what you are describing, although not in the city. Hence our move now to try and bring our little "piece of the pie" back in the city... All it takes really, are some people who know how to deliver an end product that does/says what its supposed to do...

Good riddance they booked the same overpriced djs who with there narrow minded thinking tend to not think beyond their’s and their mates record labels when playing, incest that ran the same gauntlet forever, recurring on an annual basis. residents Terry Francis, Richards anyone???...pretty overrated huh. Change is good; no one club should dominate the landscape. I hope to god this happens to an unORIGINal club in my town…with the winds of change blowing briskly into the sails it’s already starting to happen.
