Killer Robot presents Future Robotics - a new semi-regular event devoted to showcasing up and coming talent in underground electronic music. Breaking into the South African club scene can be difficult for most new djs but for those that are unwilling to compromise their sound to get gigs, it is even more so. Killer Robot endeavours to provide a space for new djs who believe in pushing the envelope and Craig P and Profound from Johannesburg are our first guests in this new venture.
Introduced to the dance scene in 2003, brothers Craig P and Profound started out playing tech house at a variety of small venues in Johannesburg. Growing increasingly disenchanted with the stagnant house scene, and battling their own divergent opinions on music, they found their inspiration once again after a trip to Berlin in Feb 2007 and gravitated toward the underground techno so much a hallmark of the city.
2007 has been a big year for these young djs with gigs at FuCha Gathering, Carfax and now Killer Robot as they continue to champion their love of cutting edge electronic music.
